You’re invited to join us on our 4th Yoga+Bliss retreat…and this time we’re going to beautiful Bocas Del Toro in Panama! During this retreat, we will explore yoga through daily practices as we elevate our awareness and open our hearts to the tropical beauty of Panama. All classes will be geared to all levels of practitioners with modifications offered. Beginners are very welcome! You will enjoy a sense of community and connection with others while accepting an invitation to drop into your SELF.
Throughout the week we’ll work to unveil the most vibrant and blissful versions of ourselves!
Tap into the beauty and culture of our surroundings. Enjoy swimming in the Caribbean Sea (located right outside your over-water bungalow), walking the beautiful coastline, exploring nearby islands, and eating deliciously prepared local cuisine. Participate in excursions like island-hopping on a boat, snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, deep-sea fishing, exploring the land via ATV, or taking a boat trip through the surrounding mangroves to spot sloths, toucans, and monkeys! Or take time to relax with a massage and read your book in a hammock with waves crashing nearby. There will be plenty of free time each day to …
CHOOSE YOUR OWN BLISS.
To begin your day, rise with the sun or sleep in…it’s up to you! Each morning you have options of 2 yoga practices which will take place in an oceanfront bungalow-style studio: one at 8 am and one at 10 am. Come to one, both, or neither…attendance is optional for all classes. Following morning yoga and breakfast, we’ll enjoy free time to explore or relax. Later on, lunch and dinner are provided daily in the on-site restaurant; however, you’re welcome to explore the food on the surrounding islands whenever you’d like. Additionally, special ceremonies and yoga practices are held during a few nights of the retreat, while free time will be enjoyed during other evenings.
The flow of this retreat will be organic, and subject to shift and change.
Overall, we look forward to connecting with you and providing an opportunity to experience joy, freedom, and abundance without the distractions of everyday life. This escape to paradise will leave you feeling energized, empowered, renewed…and ready to take on 2023. Join us as we embark on this adventure of a lifetime! We have a spot reserved just for YOU. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
insurance companies: Trawick International and CSA Travel Insurance (available for U.S. Residents only).
A non-refundable $35 Payment Processing Fee will be added to the tuition rate upon registration.
I was introduced to the benefits of yoga in 2001, while living in Charleston, SC. I initially established a yoga practice to help alleviate stress and release tension resulting from daily life in corporate sales, but I soon discovered that the practice was much deeper and vast than I ever imagined! My curiosity grew, along with my dedication to a healthy, conscious lifestyle centered around yoga. After moving to Austin in 2011, I decided to leave the corporate world to spend precious time with my young children, while exploring different styles of yoga and meditation. I soon received my 200RYT certification through an Austin-based Hatha Flow program, then started Total Balance Yoga, a company that provided on-site yoga to local businesses. In 2015, I opened Studio Mantra, a Yoga and Wellness Studio in Northwest Austin that offered many types of Yoga classes, Pilates and Barre classes, Massage Therapy, Energy Work, and Creative Workshops.
Shortly after opening my studio, I began studying with my teacher and mentor, Amy Ippoliti, an international yoga teacher/author/Earth activist in Boulder, Colorado. Through many trips to Boulder over the years, and immersion training in Nosara, Costa Rica, I completed over 300 hours of training with Amy. I treasure my time with fellow students and look forward to many more years of studentship with Amy!
In August 2020, I decided to close my physical studio (as a result of the pandemic) and transition to a Livestream and Outdoor yoga company called Mantra Yoga Collective. We’re currently offering around 30 Livestream classes a week, along with a library of On-Demand classes and 10 outdoor classes a week, including Aqua Yoga and Aqua Pilates in the heated pool of a private neighborhood club! The support from our community has been AMAZING, and I’m so very grateful to be a part of it all.
I would describe my teaching style as challenging, yet playful…motivating, yet mindful. By linking breath with movement, I guide students through creative, flow-based sequences while offering insightful alignment cues and modifications. Most of my classes are theme-based to apply ancient yoga philosophy to modern-day life, and I LOVE bringing in all types of music from DJ Drez to Bob Marley to Willie Nelson. I strive to teach students of all levels and abilities and I aim to provide a space where all feel welcome and comfortable.
In February 2023, I’ll be joining my yoga sister and friend, Tracy Liberman, for Panama 2023: A Yoga+Bliss Retreat. We feel this retreat will provide a safe space for a blissful escape from the “busy-ness” of everyday life! Grab a friend and join us for a week of relaxation, movement, adventure and nourishment!
Hey, y’all! My name is Tracy, a Mountain girl turned Texan, (note the y’all…). I began working in thefitness realm in 1997 as the director of a children’s gymnastics center. In 2001 moving on to program directing for a local Pilates Studio where I was considering training in the Joseph Pilates Method, this is where I was pleasantly Re-introduced to Yoga, a favorite college pastime.
I began taking daily yoga classes at the Pilates center and became hooked, immediately switched gears and began yoga teacher training. Shortly thereafter, I completed my Hatha certification through Yoga Yoga TT in Austin Texas, and became registered through The Yoga Alliance, RYT.
After teaching a bit, and becoming a mother, I found it a natural next step to add both Pre and Postnatal Yoga training to my resume and completed both trainings with Leslie Lytle in 2005. I then began incorporating vinyasa flow stylings into all of my classes including pre & post-natal and fell in love with the fluid teaching method. Vinyasa flow quickly became my method of choice for all my teachings; power flow, pre or post-natal & slow flow classes. I am and will always be a perpetual student and continue to attend workshops and trainings every chance I get. My favorite aspect of yoga is that there is no perfecting it- there is always something new to learn in every breath taken.
I consider my teaching style to be fun-loving with an emphasis on rhythm and flow, influenced greatly by the teachings of B. K. S. Iyengar, Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest & Kathryn Budig. I encourage my students to fluidly move through vinyasa while deepening postures and finding ease through the effort. I look to my students for inspiration each time I step on my mat, personalizing each class. My playlists are a bit eclectic, often you’ll hear Yaz, Krishna Das, Toto, and the Dixie Chicks within the same hour, singing along is always encouraged. I look forward to once again collaborating with my dear friend and colleague, Amy Hogan, for this fabulous retreat offering. A time to rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit alongside brilliant women in paradise!
I absolutely can not wait to share my mat & heart with you all.
