The resort is located in the rainforest so there is always a chance of rain. Our favorite Sunny months are Sep – October – Middle of Nov | March – April – May – June 

Surfing Months are End of Nov – Dec – Jan – Feb | July & August 

With that being said the weather is unpredictable in the tropics, but you will not have to worry about hurricanes, Bocas del Toro is outside of the Hurricane Belt.

We recommend all months but choose for either surfing weather or sunny weather – See Above 

  • Shuttle Service

For Boats contact the hotel we have our own shuttles – cost is the same as a private shuttle with other companies. 

  • What are the options and cost for private shuttles? 

Private transport is around $200.00 per trip to the islands

  • Are there a lot of stairs on the property?

The Bungalows are over the water no stairs, but a dock to get to the units 

The House Villas all have stairs to access the units 

You will need to travel through sand 

  • What age can children attend?

 children older than 15 can attend retreats when accompanied by an adult  

  • Do the rooms have air conditioning?

The units are equipped with air-conditioning for sleeping only.  The resort is run on solar power during the day and the air-conditioners cannot be used until the generator power turns on when the sun goes down. 

  • Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

The over the water bungalows all have private bathrooms 

The houses do not have private bathrooms in every bedroom 

  • Will our group be the only group at the center or will other guests be staying on-site?

It will depend on the contract. If you buy out the resort your group will be the only ones at the resort.  We also have shared contracts with more than one hosting group.

  • Is there a whiteboard?

We are on a remote island. There are no other restaurants

24 hour security is on site – they will assist for night emergencies

Manager assigned to the group – This will be discussed the month of the retreat. 

  • Typically, does all the group luggage get separated by room and then sent up?

Guests will be responsible for their luggage.  However we do have staff to assist them in taking it to their rooms

  • Who is the main contact at your hotel that the teacher will connect with?

Managers on duty change – this will be discussed per retreat month of arrival 

  • Is there a group orientation?  If so when do you like to do it?

On arrival – We like to do the orientation of the hotel.  The instructors         can take over and discuss the weeks schedule. 

  • What is the best phone number our teachers and participants should have to contact your center?

Whatsapp works best for us.  Please advise instructors. 

  • How/When do people pay for extras?

  • Where is the nearest ATM?

Bocas Town 45 minutes on a different island. Please bring cash and small bills. 

  • How or where do people change money?

Panama is on the US dollar – If they are exchanging from another country I would look in the airport.  There are not any places to exchange on the islands. 

  • Is the tap water safe to drink?

Water is safe on the islands, however for drinking we recommend only using using the filtered water stations.

We are not set up for wheelchairs and it would be hard to accommodate guests with mobility issues at this point. We are on an island 45 minutes into the open Caribbean waters – no roads or pavement. Only beaches and sand. 


  • Which rooms are handicap accessible?

None 


  • What is your cost for children (lodging/meals) and age range?

We do not allow children in retreats unless they are older than 15 


  • Do the rooms have heat or air conditioning?

The units are equipped with air-conditioning but it is only available in the evening due to running on solar power during the day. 


  • Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

The over the water bungalows all have private bathrooms 

The houses do not have private bathrooms in every bedroom 



  • Will our group be the only group at the center or will other guests be staying on-site?

It will depend on the contract

10,000 deposit on the private life flight helicopter. Please make sure guests have travel insurance that covers this.

Band-aids, gauze, alcohol – anything bigger needs to go the hospital or clinic.
