Why Bocas del Toro?

We are truly fortunate to call the Bocas del Toro Archipelago home. The three main islands are Isla Colon, Isla Carenero and Panama’s largest island, Isla Bastimentos, which is where you’ll find Azul Shala. To travel between the islands, we enjoy scenic motorized boat rides passing by mangroves, coral reefs, tropical birds and our beaches are legendary. As Panama is below the hurricane belt, visitors come from far and wide all year round to enjoy our slice of Caribbean heaven, which can be reached after a short 45-minute flight from the capital Panama City.

Why the Azul Shala at Azul Paradise ?

Azul Shala is an ideal environment for transformation, tucked away on a private island in paradise. We are a 30-minute boat ride from Isla Colon, the main island making this a serene location when you need to get away from it all, focus or replenish. 

We check all the boxes: an environmentally conscious location, gourmet meals prepared with local ingredients, and ample space to roam, think and regenerate. 

Amenities include an outdoor yoga deck overlooking the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea and rooms that deliver unparalleled views and the sound of soothing waves. Accommodations vary from over-the-water bungalows to private villas. Many in our team are born and bred locals that can guide you on nature walks to find sloths, monkeys and waves. The sunsets are incredible and each one is essentially a new picture-perfect postcard every day. We live in harmony with nature and are honored to have welcomed many guests and groups that sing our praises. Our private property has also been featured in national and international press including Brides and Lonely Planet. 

The spacious yoga deck can be used for a wide range of activities and a private palm tree-strewn beach will be your playground for physical activities ranging from outdoor runs, jungle walks, kayaking, diving, surfing, SUP, snorkeling or turning down the tempo and simply swinging in a hammock. The entire beach is at your disposal.

We warmly invite retreat and workshop leaders to host group events of between 20 and 36 people with us for up to seven days. We will organize logistics and facilities so you and your participants can live in the moment, unwind and focus on creating beautiful, lasting memories.
